We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Relevance
A cytochrome P450 monooxygenase involved in muricholic acid (MCA) synthesis. Hydroxylates at the 6-beta position two major bile acids, chenodeoxycholic acid (CDCA) and ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) to form alpha-MCA and beta-MCA, respectively. May regulate NR1H4/farnesoid X receptor signaling, as taurine-conjugated MCAs are antagonists of NR1H4. Mechanistically, uses molecular oxygen inserting one oxygen atom into a substrate, and reducing the second into a water molecule, with two electrons provided by NADPH via cytochrome P450 reductase (CPR; NADPH-ferrihemoprotein reductase).
