CCL18 is approximately 60% identical in amino acid sequence to CCL3. It is expressed at high levels in lung and at lower levels in certain lymphoid tissues.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eAssay Principle\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate CCL18 in samples. An antibody specific for CCL18 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyCCL18 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for CCL18 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of CCL18 bound in the initial step.
