RT-PCR detected SALPR expression predominantly in brain, with highest expression in substantia nigra and pituitary, followed by hippocampus, spinal cord, amygdala, caudate nucleus, and corpus callosum; expression was very low in cerebellum. In peripheral tissues, relatively high expression was detected in adrenal gland, and low expression was detected in pancreas, salivary gland, placenta, mammary gland, and testis.
