Ubiquitination requires at least 3 classes of enzymes: ubiquitin-activating enzymes (E1s) ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes (E2s) and ubiquitin-protein ligases (E3s). UBE2H receives ubiquitin from the E1 complex and catalyzes its covalent attachment to other proteins.
