Partnership
Researchers are not lacking products. They are lacking
trusted selection.
The life science research market isdeeply fragmented. Supplier websites are isolated. Distributors are outdated. Scientific purchasing decisions are difficult, time-consuming, and error-prone.
This is the gap eBioHippo was built to fill — and it is the opportunity we offer every supplier in our network.
-
Researchers can't find your products Most life science searches start on Google, not supplier websites. Without workflow-integrated content and scientific SEO, your catalog is invisible at the moment of intent.
-
US market entry is expensive and slow Building US e-commerce, scientific content, compliance infrastructure, and customer service takes years and millions. eBioHippo gives you that access from day one.
-
Datasheets are not purchasing decisions Researchers need protocols, comparison guides, application context, and workflow integration — not just spec sheets. Building this content is beyond most supplier teams.
-
Trust is earned, not claimed A well-validated product from an unknown supplier loses to a mediocre product from a recognized brand. eBioHippo's scientific credibility transfers to your products.
Not a distributor. Not a marketplace. A scientific decision engine.
eBioHippo sits inside the researcher's workflow — not just at the storefront. Your products appear in protocols, comparison guides, application notes, and research domain hubs. That is structured influence, not passive listing.

What Tier 1 validation requires
All listed eBioHippo products are for Research Use Only (RUO). Tier 1 validation criteria are calibrated to RUO research standards — rigorous enough to ensure reproducibility, accessible enough for serious research-grade suppliers. Select your product category to see what is required.
Studies estimate 50% of commercially available antibodies fail to perform as advertised. eBioHippo's standards are designed to ensure only reproducible, application-confirmed antibodies achieve Tier 1.
| Criterion | Minimum Requirement | Tier 1 |
|---|---|---|
| Application data | ≥1 validated application (WB/IHC/IF/FC/IP) with image and positive control | Required |
| Species reactivity | Tested and confirmed; not predicted by sequence homology alone | Required |
| Specificity | Peptide competition, KO/KD validation, or siRNA knockdown showing signal reduction; at minimum, single-band specificity on WB | Required |
| Lot consistency | CV ≤20% across ≥2 lots (≥3 preferred); or CoA with concentration and purity per lot | Required |
| Publication | ≥1 peer-reviewed citation OR BioHippo in-house validation | Preferred |
| Clonality | Clone ID (mAb) or immunogen sequence (pAb) disclosed | Required |
ELISA performance must be defined by documented numeric parameters. Vague descriptors ("high sensitivity") do not qualify.
| Criterion | Minimum Requirement | Tier 1 |
|---|---|---|
| LOD | Numeric LOD by stated method (mean + 2SD or 3SD of zero standard) | Required |
| Standard curve | R² ≥0.99 across ≥6 concentration points | Required |
| Intra-assay CV | ≤10% across replicate wells (n≥8) | Required |
| Inter-assay CV | ≤20% across ≥2 independent runs (≥3 preferred) | Required |
| Spike recovery | 70–130% in ≥1 biological matrix; method and matrix stated | Required |
| Cross-reactivity | Related family panel tested; <10% documented | Required |
Purity, biological activity, and identity are non-negotiable for Tier 1 protein listings.
| Criterion | Minimum Requirement | Tier 1 |
|---|---|---|
| Purity | ≥95% by SDS-PAGE with Coomassie gel image | Required |
| Endotoxin | ≤10 EU/μg by LAL assay; ≤1 EU/μg for cell-based assay applications; method stated | Required |
| Biological activity | ED50 or specific activity in a relevant assay (cell-based, ELISA, or biochemical); dose-response or activity confirmation shown | Required |
| Molecular identity | N-terminal sequencing OR intact mass by ESI-MS/MALDI-TOF | Required |
| Expression system | Host system disclosed; tag and cleavage method stated | Required |
| Stability data | ≥6 months at stated storage condition | Preferred |
AAV quality is critical to in vivo research reproducibility. eBioHippo applies the most stringent criteria in this category.
| Criterion | Minimum Requirement | Tier 1 |
|---|---|---|
| Physical titer | GC/mL by ddPCR or qPCR; primer sequences disclosed | Required |
| Particle purity | Full/empty ratio ≥90% full by AUC, TEM, or AGE | Required |
| Sterility | Mycoplasma negative by PCR; sterility confirmed (USP <71> or equivalent in-house assay) | Required |
| Serotype ID | Capsid identity confirmed by VP1 region sequencing | Required |
| Residual DNA | Host cell DNA <10 ng/dose by qPCR | Required |
| Functional titer | Transduction efficiency in relevant cell line (MOI-response curve) | Preferred |
Cell line misidentification and mycoplasma contamination remain persistent problems in biomedical research. Independent authentication is non-negotiable.
| Criterion | Minimum Requirement | Tier 1 |
|---|---|---|
| Identity (STR) | STR profiling matching ATCC or originating lab reference; report provided | Required |
| Mycoplasma | Negative by PCR within 6 months of shipment; method stated | Required |
| Post-thaw viability | ≥70% by Trypan Blue within 24h | Required |
| Passage number | Disclosed at time of sale | Required |
| Biosafety | BSL classification stated; known hazards disclosed | Required |
| Karyotype | G-banding for iPSC and primary cells | Preferred |
Structural identity, purity, and documented activity are the cornerstones of Tier 1 biochemical listings.
| Criterion | Minimum Requirement | Tier 1 |
|---|---|---|
| Purity | ≥95% by HPLC with chromatogram; lot-specific CoA required | Required |
| Structural identity | MW, CAS number, and ≥1 analytical confirmation (MS or NMR) | Required |
| Enzyme activity | U/mg with substrate, temperature, and buffer conditions stated | Required |
| Stability | Defined storage conditions with real stability data and expiry | Required |
| Safety docs | Full SDS; GHS/REACH compliance; disposal guidance | Required |
| Solubility | Solubility confirmed at working concentration in stated solvent | Preferred |

What suppliers ask before joining
Yes.Tier 2 (Catalog Content Partner)is specifically designed for products that haven't yet completed validation. You get up to 100 full content pages, qualified lead generation, and a clear roadmap to Tier 1 when your validation data is ready. Many suppliers start at Tier 2 and upgrade within 6–12 months.
This is exactly the use case eBioHippo was built for.You don't need US e-commerce, US payment processing, or US customer service infrastructure— we provide all of that. You supply the product at the agreed transfer price; we handle everything from there, including scientific content, researcher inquiries, and order fulfillment logistics.
Distribution margin is negotiated based on product category, catalog volume, and exclusivity terms. There is no upfront listing fee for Tier 1— our revenue is aligned with your sales performance. A small onboarding fee may apply to cover validation assessment and page-build costs. Contact us to discuss terms specific to your catalog.
Exclusivity is negotiated per agreement and per product category. For suppliers entering the US market without an existing US channel, exclusive distribution is often achievable and mutually beneficial— it allows both parties to invest more deeply in the partnership. Non-exclusive terms are also available for suppliers already selling through other US channels.
Products that don't meet the minimum score threshold or have disqualifiers are classified asINACTIVEand not listed in the active catalog. You receive a detailed gap report with specific, actionable remediation steps. A 90-day cure window is provided, and products are reinstated immediately upon provision of qualifying data.
Placements are not a fixed number per page — they are matched dynamically byproduct relevance, category, research domain, and application context. This means a supplier targeting the Immunology domain has placement opportunities across every relevant product page in that domain, scaled to their targeting precision. The broader your category scope, the larger your placement inventory. Contact us to discuss the right targeting strategy for your catalog.
