c-LEcta GmbH — the Leipzig enzyme manufacturer behind the Denarase® nuclease portfolio, the Denarase® ELISA Kit and CellTrypase — is being fully integrated under the Kerry brand. The change is one of identity, not of product. For laboratories and manufacturing teams already using these enzymes, the formulations, manufacturing processes, release specifications and ordering routes stay as they are.
What is changing
c-LEcta has been part of Kerry Group since 2022. The company is now completing that integration at the brand level: product materials, packaging artwork and technical documents are moving from c-LEcta branding to Kerry branding, and the Leipzig site is presented as the Kerry Biotechnology Centre. The manufacturer describes the rollout as gradual, running from early Q2 to early Q4 2026.
One naming detail is worth flagging for anyone maintaining internal specification documents: the product name is no longer written in capitals. DENARASE® is now written Denarase®. The trademark and the product itself are unchanged.
What is not changing
- The enzymes. Same formulations, same manufacturing processes, same quality standards, same release specifications.
- The legal manufacturer. c-LEcta GmbH remains the legal manufacturing and contracting entity, at Alte Messe 3, 04103 Leipzig, Germany. You will therefore continue to see the c-LEcta name on legal and regulatory documentation while the brand transition runs.
- Your ordering route. BioHippo remains the authorized United States distributor. Orders, quotations, free-sample requests and regulatory documentation continue to be handled through us, with R&D-grade enzyme held in US stock.
- Your contacts. The manufacturer's technical and product-management contacts are unchanged.
What this means for a qualification file
A brand transition is not a product change, but it does put two names in circulation for the same material. If your quality system references the supplier by name, it is worth recording the relationship explicitly — Kerry (formerly c-LEcta), manufactured by c-LEcta GmbH — so that a document carrying either name can be reconciled during an audit. Where a document version has changed, request the current version rather than relying on a copy downloaded earlier.

Alongside the branding change, the manufacturer has issued updated technical documents. We have applied the following corrections to our product pages:

The GMP grade of Denarase® High Salt has launched and is available to order; earlier content on this site described it as planned for future release, and that wording has been corrected.
