    Key elements and design rationale

    • Target: CD19 — B-lymphocyte antigen CD19
    • Antibody format: Host: Rabbit; Clonality: Monoclonal; Clone: Clone: AOEB-3; Isotype: Rabbit IgG
    • Species reactivity: Human,Mouse,Rat
    • Molecular weight guidance: Observed: 119 kDa; Calculated: 61128 MW

    Biological background

Protein function (datasheet): Assembles with the antigen receptor of B-lymphocytes in order to decrease the threshold for antigen receptor-dependent stimulation.

Cellular localization (datasheet): Membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein.

Tissue details (datasheet): Expressed in testicular carcinoma and derived germ cell tumors (at protein level). Expressed in fetal gonads, ovary and testis. Also expressed in ovary teratocarcinoma cell line and testicular embryonic carcinoma. Not expressed in many somatic organs and oocytes. .

    Research relevance and current trends

    • Commonly studied in contexts related to Adaptive Immunity,B Cells,Hematopoietic Progenitors,Immunology,Lymphoid,Stem Cells.
    • Supports comparative expression analysis across conditions, genotypes, or treatments when paired with appropriate controls.
    • Useful for confirming target presence and subcellular distribution using orthogonal readouts (e.g., microscopy vs. immunoblotting).

    Common research applications

    • Western blot (WB): Compare relative target abundance and apparent size/isoforms across samples; interpret bands in light of expected MW and potential PTMs.
    • Flow cytometry: Quantify target-positive populations in single-cell suspensions; pair with viability and isotype/FMO controls conceptually.

    Notes for experimental interpretation

    • Consider isoforms, post-translational modifications, and processing that can shift apparent molecular weight or localization.
    • Use appropriate positive and negative controls (e.g., KO/KD, blocking peptide, or isotype controls) to support specificity interpretation.

As a monoclonal antibody, this reagent is expected to recognize a defined epitope, which can support consistency across lots when epitope accessibility is preserved.
