Scientific background
CXCL16(Chemokine C-X-C-Motif Ligand 16) Microsample is a chemokine-related marker that helps guide immune cell trafficking by forming concentration gradients.
Chemokine profiles are useful for understanding immune recruitment, chemotaxis, and local inflammatory microenvironments across tissues.
Measuring chemokines can support mechanistic links between stimuli (infection, cytokines, injury) and observed immune cell composition or migration.
Why it matters
- Quantify CXCL16(Chemokine C-X-C-Motif Ligand 16) Microsample to compare biological changes across conditions, doses, or time points.
- Generate concentration data from a standard curve to support biomarker and mechanistic studies.
How the ELISA works
Designed for Mouse samples, this kit uses a The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Mouse CXCL16. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells then with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Mouse CXCL16. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Mouse CXCL16, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Mouse CXCL16 in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.. After binding and washing, signal is converted to concentration using a standard curve.
