Product Overview
Clone ACII-3 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes T-cell surface glycoprotein CD5 in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 54.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 55 kDa.
CD5 is a scavenger receptor cysteine-rich glycoprotein expressed on all T cells and on the B1a subset of B cells. It acts mainly as a negative regulator of T-cell and B-cell receptor signaling, shaping thymocyte selection and tolerance, and it is a common marker in lymphocyte and lymphoma studies.
