Product Overview
Clone CID-3 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes C-X-C chemokine receptor type 4 (gene CXCR4) in human and mouse samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 39.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 43 kDa.
CXCR4 is a G protein-coupled receptor for the chemokine CXCL12 (SDF-1). It controls retention and homing of hematopoietic stem cells in the bone marrow and guides lymphocyte trafficking and embryonic cell migration. CXCR4 is also a coreceptor for T-tropic HIV-1 and is widely studied in cancer metastasis and stem cell mobilization.

Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human cervical carcinoma tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human CXCR4.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and mouse. UniProt places C-X-C chemokine receptor type 4 in the cell membrane, cell junction, early endosome and late endosome. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
