Product Overview
Clone 8B9C3 is a mouse monoclonal antibody that recognizes G1/S-specific cyclin-E1 (gene CCNE1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 47.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 47 kDa.
Cyclin E1 (CCNE1) activates CDK2 in late G1 to promote the transition into S phase and the start of DNA replication. It is tightly regulated by ubiquitin-mediated degradation, and CCNE1 amplification is well documented in several cancers, notably high-grade serous ovarian cancer.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Human) |
|---|
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human K562 cells, human A549 cells, human Caco-2 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:10000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant human Cyclin E1/CCNE1 fragment (Arg3–Ala386), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places G1/S-specific cyclin-E1 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Highly expressed in testis and placenta. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
