Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E transporter (gene EIF4ENIF1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 108.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 140 kDa.
EIF4ENIF1 (also called 4E-T) is an eIF4E-binding protein concentrated in processing bodies (P-bodies). It helps store translationally repressed mRNAs and protect them from decay, and it is studied in mRNA storage and translational control.

Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): PC-3 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HL-60 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human EIF4ENIF1 fragment (Asp13–Gln985), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E transporter in the cytoplasm, nucleus and nucleus speckle. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
