Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes glycodelin (gene PAEP) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 20.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 24 kDa.
Glycodelin (PAEP, also called PP14) is a lipocalin-family glycoprotein made mainly in the endometrium and reproductive tract. Its glycoforms differ in sugar structure and have distinct effects on sperm–egg binding and on immune cells, so it is studied in fertility and pregnancy.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.1–0.25 µg/mL (Human) |
|---|---|
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human placenta tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.25 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Recombinant human Glycodelin/PAEP fragment (Met19–Phe180), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt describes glycodelin as a secreted protein. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): This protein is, the main protein synthesized and secreted in the endometrium from mid-luteal phase of the menstrual cycle and during the first semester of pregnancy. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
