Product Overview

Antibody delta G9 recognizes the human and rat perforin molecule of ~70 kd (2, 4). It has been reported to bind to pre-formed perforin granules, but not granule-independent perforin(11).

Human perforin (cytolysin) is believed to be one of the major effector molecules used by cytotoxic T cells and NK cells to mediate targeted cell lysis (5). Perforin expression is constitutive on NK cells, but increases in resting CD8+ cytotoxic cells upon activation.

What applications has this antibody been validated for?

This antibody has been validated for FC, FPS. Always refer to the product datasheet for recommended dilution ranges and appropriate positive control samples for each application type.

Which species does this antibody react with?

Validated reactivity has been confirmed for Human, Primate. Cross-reactivity with additional species may exist based on sequence homology but has not been confirmed by the manufacturer. For unlisted species, we recommend running a preliminary validation experiment.

What secondary antibody should I pair with this product?

This antibody was raised in Mouse. For indirect detection (WB, IHC, IF), select an anti-Mouse secondary antibody that matches the isotype. For direct detection, check the variant selector for conjugated formats. Confirm secondary antibody compatibility before ordering.

What is the immunogen used to generate this antibody?

Purified (With Antibiotics) granules from human YT lymphoma cell line

How should this antibody be stored?

Please refer to the storage conditions on the product label and datasheet. As a general best practice: upon receipt, aliquot into single-use volumes to minimize freeze-thaw cycling, which can progressively reduce antibody performance and lead to aggregation.

Is this antibody suitable for use with my specific cell line or tissue?

Validated reactivity covers Human, Primate samples. Performance can vary across different cell lines and tissue types depending on target antigen expression levels and epitope accessibility. We recommend verifying target expression in your specific model system using a known positive control before proceeding to experimental samples.
