Product Overview
Clone IBF-9 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes interleukin-1 beta (gene IL1B) in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 30.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 17 kDa.
Interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) is a potent pro-inflammatory cytokine made as an inactive precursor and processed by caspase-1 after inflammasome activation. Acting through IL1R1 and IL1RAP, it induces fever, prostaglandin synthesis, neutrophil recruitment and Th17 differentiation, and it is one of the most studied mediators of inflammation.

Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
