Product Overview
Clone BA-13 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes DNA replication licensing factor MCM7 in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 81.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 81 kDa.
MCM7 is a subunit of the MCM2-7 replicative helicase, loaded onto origins of replication and activated to unwind DNA in S phase. It is required for replication licensing and interacts with checkpoint proteins that respond to replication stress. MCM7 is frequently overexpressed in proliferating tumor cells and is studied in DNA replication and cancer.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): rat thymus tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human MCM7.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places DNA replication licensing factor MCM7 in the nucleus and chromosome. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
