Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes MHC class I polypeptide-related sequence B (gene MICB) in human and mouse samples and is validated for flow cytometry and Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 42.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 60–65 kDa.
MICB is a stress-induced, MHC class I-like membrane protein closely related to MICA. It is upregulated by infection and cellular stress and serves as a ligand for the activating receptor NKG2D on natural killer cells and subsets of T cells, making it a focus of research on tumor immune surveillance and innate immunity.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human Jurkat cells, human K562 cells, human HEL cells, human A431 cells, human 293T cells, human SiHa cells, human HEPA1/6 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): K562 cells.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and mouse. UniProt places MHC class I polypeptide-related sequence B in the cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed with the exception of the central nervous system where it is absent. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
