Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects protein MIS12 homolog in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 24.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 25 kDa.
MIS12 is a core subunit of the MIS12 complex, part of the KMN network at the outer kinetochore. This complex connects centromeric chromatin to the microtubule-binding NDC80 complex, allowing chromosomes to attach correctly to the spindle, so MIS12 is studied in mitosis and chromosome segregation.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human 293T cells, human HepG2 cells, human Jurkat cells, human Hacat cells, human U251 cells, human SH-SY5Y cells, human K562 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.25 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): U2OS cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): Jurkat cells.

Recombinant human MIS12 fragment (Met1–Lys187), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places protein MIS12 homolog in the chromosome. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
