Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects melanophilin (gene MLPH) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and ELISA.
Melanophilin (MLPH) is a Rab effector that links RAB27A on melanosomes to the motor protein myosin Va (MYO5A). This three-part complex holds melanosomes at the actin-rich periphery of melanocytes for transfer to keratinocytes, and loss of MLPH causes a form of Griscelli syndrome with pigment dilution.
