Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets DNA mismatch repair protein Msh6 in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 152.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 160 kDa.
MSH6 is a DNA mismatch repair protein that pairs with MSH2 to form MutSα, the main sensor of single-base mismatches and small insertion-deletion loops after DNA replication. Loss of MSH6 impairs mismatch repair, and germline mutations are one cause of Lynch syndrome.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HepG2 cells, human A549 cells, human A549-WT cells, human A549-MSH6 KO cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.25 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): U2OS cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HeLa cells.

Recombinant human MSH6 fragment (Asp357–His388), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places DNA mismatch repair protein Msh6 in the nucleus and chromosome. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
