Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects PHD finger protein 1 (gene PHF1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 62.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 62 kDa.
PHF1 is a Polycomb-like protein that associates with the PRC2 complex. Its Tudor domain binds histone H3 trimethylated at lysine 36 (H3K36me3), recruiting PRC2 to specific chromatin regions, and it is also recruited to DNA double-strand breaks. It is studied in Polycomb-mediated gene silencing and in the DNA damage response.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): rat heart tissue, mouse heart tissue, mouse C2C12 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant human PHF1 fragment (Leu31–His491), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places PHD finger protein 1 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Highest levels in heart, skeletal muscle, and pancreas, lower levels in brain, placenta, lung, liver and kidney. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
