Product Overview
Clone 21L92 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes plastin-2 (gene LCP1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 70.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 70 kDa.
L-plastin (LCP1, plastin-2) is an actin-bundling protein expressed mainly in blood cells. It cross-links actin filaments and supports leukocyte migration, adhesion and immune synapse formation, and it helps T-cell activation after TCR and costimulatory signals. L-plastin is also expressed in many tumor cells and is studied in immune cell motility and cancer cell invasion.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places plastin-2 in the cytoplasm, cell junction and cell projection. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Detected in intestinal microvilli, hair cell stereocilia, and fibroblast filopodia, in spleen and other lymph node-containing organs. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
