Product Overview
Clone AOFH-16 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma (gene PPARG) in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 57.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 57 kDa.
PPARγ (PPARG) is a ligand-activated nuclear receptor that works with RXR and is the master regulator of fat cell differentiation. It controls genes for lipid storage and insulin sensitivity and is the target of thiazolidinedione antidiabetic drugs. PPARγ is studied in adipogenesis, metabolism, inflammation and cancer.
