Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects serine/threonine-protein phosphatase 2A 56 kDa regulatory subunit alpha isoform (gene PPP2R5A) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 56.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 56 kDa.
PPP2R5A (B56α) is a B′-family regulatory subunit of protein phosphatase 2A. B56 subunits steer PP2A to particular substrates and cell locations, influencing its activity. B56α is studied in PP2A signaling, including regulation of MYC and cardiac function.

Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): A549 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human PPP2R5A fragment (Gln50–Arg441), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places serine/threonine-protein phosphatase 2A 56 kDa regulatory subunit alpha isoform in the cytoplasm, nucleus and chromosome. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed with the highest expression in heart and skeletal muscle. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
