Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects paraspeckle component 1 (gene PSPC1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 58.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 66 kDa.
PSPC1 is an RNA-binding protein of the DBHS family that, together with NONO and SFPQ, localizes to paraspeckles, nuclear bodies built on the long noncoding RNA NEAT1. It regulates transcription and RNA retention in the nucleus, and it has been linked to circadian clock control and antiviral responses.

|---|---|
| IHC (paraffin sections) | 2–5 µg/mL (Human) |
| Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence | 5 µg/mL (Human) |

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human 293T cells, human HepG2 cells, human PC-3 cells, human U2OS cells, rat testis tissue, mouse testis tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.25 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human glioblastoma tissue, human ovarian serous adenocarcinoma tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): U2OS cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HEL cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human PSPC1 fragment (Glu96–Gln489), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places paraspeckle component 1 in the nucleus speckle, nucleus, nucleus matrix and cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in pancreas, kidney, skeletal muscle, liver, lung, placenta, brain and heart. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
