Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes ribonuclease pancreatic (gene RNASE1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA.
Pancreatic ribonuclease (RNASE1) is a secreted endonuclease of the RNase A family that cuts RNA after pyrimidine nucleotides and can act on both single- and double-stranded RNA. Beyond digestion in the pancreas, it is produced by several tissues including vascular endothelium, and it is a classic model enzyme in protein chemistry.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt describes ribonuclease pancreatic as a secreted protein. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Pancreas and other tissues and body fluids (indicating it may have other physiological functions besides its role in digestion).
