Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes extracellular sulfatase Sulf-2 (gene SULF2) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 100.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 135 kDa.
Sulf-2 (SULF2) is an extracellular heparan sulfate 6-O-endosulfatase that removes sulfate groups from specific regions of heparan sulfate chains. By editing this sulfation pattern, it changes how growth factors and morphogens such as FGF, Wnt and BMP bind the cell surface, and it is studied in development and cancer.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human MCF-7 cells, human HepG2 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant human SULF2 fragment (Lys471–Asp614), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places extracellular sulfatase Sulf-2 in the endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus and cell surface. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed at highest levels in the ovary, skeletal muscle, stomach, brain, uterus, heart, kidney and placenta. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
