Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets sulfotransferase 1C4 (gene SULT1C4) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 35.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 38 kDa.
SULT1C4 is a cytosolic sulfotransferase that uses PAPS to sulfate phenolic compounds. It prefers plant and environmental estrogens such as flavonoids and bisphenol A over estradiol, and it can sulfate the anthracyclines doxorubicin and epirubicin, so it is studied in drug and xenobiotic metabolism.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Human) |
|---|---|
| Flow cytometry (fixed cells) | 1–3 µg/1×106 cells (Human) |
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human SH-SY5Y cells, human 293T cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HepG2 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human SULT1C4 fragment (Met1–Phe302), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places sulfotransferase 1C4 in the cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed at high levels in fetal lung and kidney and at low levels in fetal heart, adult kidney, ovary and spinal cord. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
