Product Overview
Clone FIB-20 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes transcription factor 7-like 2 (gene TCF7L2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, immunoprecipitation and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 67.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 68 kDa.
TCF7L2 (also called TCF4) is an HMG-box transcription factor of the TCF/LEF family and a main nuclear effector of Wnt/β-catenin signaling. It is needed to maintain intestinal epithelial stem cells, drives targets such as MYC in colorectal cancer, and common TCF7L2 variants are strongly associated with type 2 diabetes risk.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): Jurkat cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human colonic cancer tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places transcription factor 7-like 2 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Detected in epithelium from small intestine, with the highest expression at the top of the crypts and a gradient of expression from crypt to villus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
