Product Overview
Clone AIE-25 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes transcriptional repressor protein YY1 in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 44.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 68 kDa.
YY1 (Yin Yang 1) is a ubiquitously expressed zinc finger transcription factor that can either activate or repress genes depending on its partners and promoter context. It binds sequences near many transcription start sites, recruits chromatin-modifying enzymes, and helps form enhancer-promoter loops, making it important in development, imprinting and cancer.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human Caco-2 cells, human MCF-7 cells, rat PC-12 cells, rat C6 cells, mouse RAW264.7 cells, mouse ANA-1 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:500, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human bladder using YY1 Antibody.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
