Overview
CD161 Antibody / KLRB1 is an antibody targeting CD161. Host: Mouse. Monoclonal. Clone: KLRB1/8910. Format: Purified. Applications: IHC-P.
Key elements and design rationale
- Target: CD161.
- Immunogen: A recombinant fragment (within amino acids 1-225) of human KLRB1 protein was used as the immunogen for the CD161 antibo….
- Species reactivity: Human.
- Localization: Cytoplasm, Cell membrane.
- Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).
Biological background (from provided description)
Natural killer (NK) and T cells express a superfamily of proteins with structural features of C-type lectins. T cells bearing natural killer receptors (NKRs) such as CD94 and CD161 are present in psoriasis. CD161 mediates NK cell activation and functions as an activating receptor.
Common research applications
- IHC: tissue distribution assessment; interpret with matched controls.
Notes for experimental interpretation
- Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
- Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).
Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
