Casein kinase I family members, which include casein kinase Iα, Iγ, Iδ and Iε, have been implicated in the control of cytoplasmic and nuclear processes, including DNA replication and repair, membrane trafficking, circadian rhythm, cell cycle progression, chromosome segregation, apoptosis and cellular differentiation.
