Overview
DRAP1 Antibody is an antibody targeting DRAP1. Host: Mouse. Monoclonal. Clone: PCRP-DRAP1-1A8. Format: Purified. Applications: FACS, IF, IHC-P.
Key elements and design rationale
- Target: DRAP1.
- Immunogen: Recombinant human DRAP1 protein was used as the immunogen for the DRAP1 antibody..
- Species reactivity: Human.
- Localization: Nucleus, Cytoplasm.
- Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).
Biological background (from provided description)
NC2 (negative cofactor 2) is a dimeric histone-fold complex that represses RNA polymerase II transcription through binding to TBP and inhibiting the transcription factors TFIIA and TFIIB. NC2 consists of two subunits, termed NC2a and NC2beta, and these subunits dimerize and bind to TBP-promoter complexes via histone fold domains of the H2A-H2B type.
Common research applications
- IHC: tissue distribution assessment; interpret with matched controls.
- IF/ICC: subcellular localization imaging with proper background controls.
Notes for experimental interpretation
- Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
- Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).
Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
