Biological Activity
FBPase-IN-1 is a powerful inhibitor of Fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase (FBPase), a key enzyme involved in Type 2 diabetes (T2D) research. It exhibits an impressive IC50 value of 0.22 uM. Aside from its potency, FBPase-IN-1 also demonstrates the ability to effectively lower blood glucose levels and improve glucose tolerance. Its mechanism of action involves covalently modifying the C128 site, thereby influencing the N125-S124-S123 allosteric pathway of FBPase, ultimately impacting its catalytic activity (1).
Safety & Regulatory
For Research Use Only (RUO). Not for therapeutic, diagnostic, or clinical use. Wear appropriate PPE and consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) prior to handling.
When solubility is listed as < 1 mg/mL, the compound dissolves to less than 1 mg per milliliter in water at 25 °C, pH 7.4. Such compounds require an organic co-solvent such as DMSO to prepare a concentrated stock, which is then diluted into aqueous assay buffer. For cell-based assays, keep the final DMSO concentration below 0.1% (v/v) to avoid solvent-induced cytotoxicity.
There are various standards for defining the purity, and we do not have fixed purity standard. The purity of most products are above 98% and can be used for control experiments, including cell experiments, animal experiments, general laboratory experiments, and high-throughput screening. Our product purity also meets the industrial standard.
