Overview
GTF2A1 Antibody / TFIIA is an antibody targeting GTF2A1. Host: Mouse. Monoclonal. Clone: PCRP-GTF2A1-1F2. Format: Purified. Applications: ELISA, FACS, IF.
Key elements and design rationale
- Target: GTF2A1.
- Immunogen: Recombinant full-length human protein was used as the immunogen for the GTF2A1 antibody..
- Species reactivity: Human.
- Localization: Nucleus, cytoplasm.
- Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).
Biological background (from provided description)
Initiation of transcription from protein-coding genes in eukaryotes is a complex process that requires RNA polymerase II, as well as families of basal transcription factors. Binding of the factor TFIID (TBP) to the TATA box is believed to be the first step in formation of the preinitiation complex (PIC) which contains several additional factors, including TFIIA, TFIIB, TFIIE, TFIIF and TFIIH.
Common research applications
- IF/ICC: subcellular localization imaging with proper background controls.
Notes for experimental interpretation
- Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
- Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).
Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
