Biological Activity
Homocarnosine TFA, a unique dipeptide of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and histidine found in the brain, acts as an inhibitory neuromodulator synthesized from GABA within neurons. It exhibits anticonvulsant effects (1), and possesses antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, prevents DNA damage, and inhibits the formation of advanced glycation end-products (2).

It is not recommended to store DMSO stock solutions at room temperature. Once the stock solution is prepared, aliquot into single-use volumes and store at −20 °C (or −80 °C for sensitive compounds). Room-temperature storage accelerates chemical degradation and moisture uptake. When ready to use, thaw an aliquot at room temperature, use immediately, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
For small packages(1 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, etc.), it is not recommended to weigh them again which may lead to compound loss and inaccurate measurement. Our products are imported in their original packaging and accurately weighed, so you can directly dissolve the compound in the appropriate solvent upon receipt. For large packages, you can weigh and prepare stock solutions. It is recommended to start with at least 10 mg to reduce error.
