This secondary detects Chicken-derived (IgY) primary antibodies in immunoassays. When your primary antibody is from a chicken source, this Mouse anti-Chicken IgG provides the detection bridge for colorimetric, chemiluminescent, or fluorescent readout.
No. This antibody is specific for Chicken IgG (IgY) and does not cross-react with mammalian IgG (Mouse, Rabbit, Human, Goat, etc.). This specificity makes it ideal for multiplex experiments with both Chicken-derived and mammalian primary antibodies.
Reconstitute in sterile water or PBS to the volume indicated on the CoA to achieve the target concentration. Mix gently — do not vortex. Allow 5–10 minutes at room temperature before use. Prepare single-use aliquots and store at −20°C.
Since this antibody is unconjugated Mouse IgG1, pair with an anti-Mouse IgG secondary conjugated to HRP (for ELISA/WB) or fluorophore (for IF). This creates: Chicken primary → Mouse anti-Chicken secondary → Anti-Mouse tertiary detection.
Validated for ELISA and Western Blot (Immunoblot). Optimal dilutions must be determined empirically for each application, sample type, and detection system.
