Product Overview
Secondary Antibody
This mouse monoclonal antibody (Clone Bio-8, IgG3) against tag proteins is conjugated to biotin, enabling high-sensitivity amplified detection via streptavidin-enzyme or streptavidin-fluorophore systems. The biotin–streptavidin system (Kd ~10⁻¹⁵ M) provides exceptional signal amplification for IHC, ELISA, and flow cytometry workflows.

Detection uses the streptavidin system: pair with streptavidin-HRP for colorimetric or chemiluminescent detection (ELISA, WB), streptavidin-PE or streptavidin-FITC for flow cytometry, or streptavidin-AP for alkaline phosphatase-based IHC. No anti-Mouse secondary antibody is needed.
Endogenous biotin is present in liver, kidney, brain, and adipose tissue. Pre-treat tissue sections with an Avidin/Biotin Blocking Kit before applying this biotinylated antibody to suppress background from endogenous biotin.
Validated for IHC, ELISA, and Flow Cytometry. Working dilutions must be determined empirically for each application, sample type, and detection system.
No secondary antibody is required. Detection is achieved through streptavidin conjugated to your preferred enzyme or fluorophore, added after the antibody incubation step.
Store at 2–8°C. Stable for up to 1 year from receipt. Do not freeze — formulated in tissue culture supernatant; freeze-thaw may cause activity loss.
