Biological Activity
NNMT-IN-3 (compound 14) is a potent and selective inhibitor of nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT) with IC50 values of 1.1 nM and 0.4 uM in cell-free and cell-based assays, respectively. nNMT-IN-3 can be used in studies of obesity, cancer, type II diabetes and skeletal sarcopenia, among other diseases.

Try the following steps: (1) warm the DMSO solvent to 37–50 °C before adding the compound; (2) vortex vigorously for 30 seconds then bath-sonicate for 1–2 minutes; (3) if still undissolved, prepare a more dilute stock. Note that maximum solubility values are reference conditions — actual solubility can vary with temperature, solvent lot, and compound batch. Contact BioHippo support if dissolution problems persist.
PEG300 has moderate viscosity, which facilitates the dissolution and administration of drugs, while also providing good tolerability without adverse effects on animals. PEG400 can replace PEG300. PEG600 is not very recommended because its melting point is close to room temperature.
