Biological Activity
N-Acylethanolamines (NAEs) are lipid-derived signaling compounds, with arachidonoyl ethanolamide functioning as an endogenous cannabinoid (CB) that activates CB1 and CB2 receptors. Among these, Palmitoleoyl Ethanolamide (POEA) is synthesized endogenously from palmitoleic acid. Notably, unlike arachidonoyl ethanolamide and palmitoyl ethanolamide, POEA lacks antinociceptive effects in the formalin-evoked pain model.

Use a bath-type ultrasonic cleaner at standard cleaning frequency (37–40 kHz). Bath sonication is gentler than a probe sonicator and avoids sample overheating. Sonicate in 5–10 second intervals, checking solubility between pulses, for no more than 2–3 minutes total. Warm the bath to 37 °C if solubility remains poor.
Melted ice packs are generally not a concern for solid powder compounds, as the short transit period at ambient temperature does not typically affect compound integrity or potency. Powder form is inherently more stable than solution form during temperature fluctuations. Upon receipt, transfer the compound to −20 °C immediately.
