Overview
Recombinant TPO Antibody / Thyroid Peroxidase is an antibody targeting TPO. Host: Mouse. Monoclonal. Clone: rTPO/7248. Format: Purified. Applications: IHC-P.
Key elements and design rationale
- Target: TPO.
- Immunogen: A recombinant fragment of human protein was used as the immunogen for the recombinant TPO antibody..
- Species reactivity: Human.
- Localization: Cytoplasm, Cell surface.
- Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).
Biological background (from provided description)
Thyroperoxidase (TPO) is a 933-amino acid, type I transmembrane glycoprotein that plays a key role in thyroid gland function and autoimmunity. It is present as a dimer on the apical surface of thyroid follicular cells. TPO functions in the iodination of tyrosine residues in thyroglobulin and phenoxy-ester formation between pairs of iodinated tyrosines to generate the thyroid hormones, thyroxine and triiodothyronine.
Common research applications
- IHC: tissue distribution assessment; interpret with matched controls.
Notes for experimental interpretation
- Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
- Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).
Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
