Overview
SBSN Antibody / Suprabasin is an antibody targeting SBSN. Host: Mouse. Monoclonal. Clone: SBSN/7961. Format: Purified. Applications: IHC-P.
Key elements and design rationale
- Target: SBSN.
- Immunogen: A recombinant fragment from the human protein was used as the immunogen for the SBSN antibody..
- Species reactivity: Human.
- Localization: Cytoplasm, Secreted.
- Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).
Biological background (from provided description)
Suprabasin (SBSN) is a 247 amino acid secreted protein that is upregulated in differentiating keratinocytes and is though to play a role in epidermal differentiation. Expressed in uterus, skin, thymus and esophagus, suprabasin is encoded by a gene that maps to human chromosome 19q13.12.
Common research applications
- IHC: tissue distribution assessment; interpret with matched controls.
Notes for experimental interpretation
- Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
- Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).
Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
