Research Use OnlyMCT4 or SLC16A3, has a key role in the transportation of metabolically important monocarboxylates such as lactate, pyruvate, acetate and ketone bodies. Due to its role in mediating lactate transport which results in antiapoptotic effects; it is a key interest in tumor biology.
