Key elements and design rationale

  • Target: ZSCAN12.
  • Immunogen: A recombinant partial protein sequence (within amino acids 37-132) from the human protein was used as the immunogen for….
  • Species reactivity: Human.
  • Localization: Nucleus.
  • Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).

Biological background (from provided description)

Zinc-finger proteins contain DNA-binding domains and have a wide variety of functions, most of which encompass some form of transcriptional activation or repression. The majority of zinc-finger proteins contain a Kruppel-type DNA binding domain and a KRAB domain, which is thought to interact with KAP1, thereby recruiting histone modifying proteins.

Common research applications

  • IF/ICC: subcellular localization imaging with proper background controls.

Notes for experimental interpretation

  • Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
  • Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).

Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
