Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets delta-like protein 4 (gene DLL4) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 74.6 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 80 kDa.
Delta-like 4 (DLL4) is a Notch ligand highly expressed in arterial and tip endothelial cells. By activating NOTCH1 and NOTCH4 on neighboring cells, it limits excess sprouting and shapes blood vessel branching. DLL4 is also important in T-cell development in the thymus and is studied in angiogenesis and tumor vascular biology.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human A431 cells, human 293T cells, human Caco-2 cells, human PC-3 cells, rat brain tissue, mouse brain tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HepG2 cells.

Recombinant human DLL4 fragment (Ser27–Glu678), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places delta-like protein 4 in the cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in vascular endothelium. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
