Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects dual specificity protein phosphatase 6 (gene DUSP6) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 42.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 50 kDa.
DUSP6 (also called MKP-3) is a cytoplasmic dual-specificity phosphatase that selectively dephosphorylates and inactivates ERK1 and ERK2. Its expression is induced by FGF and ERK signaling, forming a negative feedback loop, and it is studied in development and growth factor signaling.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human U-87MG cells, human RT4 cells, human PC-3 cells, human HL-60 cells, human HepG2 cells, rat brain tissue, mouse brain tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human liver cancer tissue, human colonic adenocarcinoma tissue, human rectal cancer tissue, human lymphadenoma tissue, rat brain tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): PC-3 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HepG2 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human DUSP6 fragment (Met1–Thr381), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places dual specificity protein phosphatase 6 in the cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in keratinocytes (at protein level). The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
