Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects cadherin-2 (gene cdh2) in zebrafish samples and is validated for Western blot.
N-cadherin (CDH2) is a classical cadherin that mediates calcium-dependent adhesion in neural tissue, heart muscle, and other mesenchymal cells. It helps organize neural development and cardiac intercalated discs, and its gain during epithelial–mesenchymal transition makes it a common marker in cancer invasion studies.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): zebrafish head tissue, zebrafish embryo tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant zebrafish N-Cadherin/CDH2 fragment (Met25–Arg810), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with zebrafish. UniProt places cadherin-2 in the cell membrane, cell junction, cell surface and cell projection. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (zebrafish): Expression in the embryo is initially found in all deep cells but later becomes restricted to various epithelial and neuronal tissues. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
