Overview
Cadherin-2 Antibody / N-Cadherin / CDH2 is an antibody targeting Cadherin-2. Host: Mouse. Monoclonal. Clone: CDH2/9491. Format: Purified. Applications: IHC-P.
Key elements and design rationale
- Target: Cadherin-2.
- Immunogen: A recombinant human Cadherin 2 partial protein from the cytoplasmic domain was used as the immunogen for the Cadherin 2….
- Species reactivity: Human.
- Localization: Cell Surface, Cytoplasm.
- Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).
Biological background (from provided description)
Recognizes a protein of ~140kDa, identified as N-Cadherin (NCAD), also known as CD325. NCAD is a member of the Cadherin superfamily, and consists of five extracellular repeats, a transmembrane domain and a cytoplasmic domain. CD325 has been implicated in several aspects of cardiac development including the precardiac mesoderm, establishment of left-right symmetry and cardiac looping morphogenesis.
Common research applications
- IHC: tissue distribution assessment; interpret with matched controls.
Notes for experimental interpretation
- Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
- Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).
Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
