Scientific background
IgE (Immunoglobulin E) is an immunoglobulin-related marker involved in humoral immunity.
Immunoglobulin levels are used to evaluate immune status, antibody responses, or background levels in immunology studies and assays.
Quantitative readouts can support longitudinal monitoring (pre/post immunization, infection, or therapy) when paired with antigen-specific assays as needed.
Why it matters
- Quantify IgE (Immunoglobulin E) to compare biological changes across conditions, doses, or time points.
- Generate concentration data from a standard curve to support biomarker and mechanistic studies.
How the ELISA works
Designed for Dog samples, this kit uses a The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Dog IgE. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells then with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Dog IgE. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Dog IgE, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Dog IgE in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.. After binding and washing, signal is converted to concentration using a standard curve.
Sample types: Serum, plasma and other biological fluids.
- Detection range: 0.16-10 µg/mL
