Overview

Recombinant MDM2 Antibody is an antibody targeting MDM2. Host: Rabbit. Monoclonal. Clone: MDM2/7061R. Format: Purified. Applications: ELISA.

Key elements and design rationale

  • Target: MDM2.
  • Immunogen: A portion of amino acids 126-254 was used as the immunogen for the recombinant MDM2 antibody..
  • Species reactivity: Human.
  • Localization: Nuclear.
  • Conjugate: Unconjugated (no label listed).

Biological background (from provided description)

MDM2 is a nuclear phosphoprotein that binds and inhibits transactivation by tumor protein p53. It can promote tumor formation by targeting tumor suppressor proteins, such as p53, for proteasomal degradation. Overexpression of MDM2 can result in excessive inactivation of tumor protein p53, diminishing its tumor suppressor function.

Common research applications

  • Suitable for antibody-based detection workflows where target signal comparison and localization are required.

Notes for experimental interpretation

  • Account for isoforms, paralogs, and post-translational modifications when interpreting signal.
  • Support specificity with biological controls (e.g., KO/KD where available) and technical controls (e.g., secondary-only/isotype).

Customization & Add-ons: Can’t find the antibody you need—or require a custom format for your assay? We can help you source the best match or support custom antibody solutions for diverse research needs, including species and isotype selection, conjugations and labeling (e.g., HRP/AP, biotin, fluorophores), purification grade options (Protein A/G, affinity purified), formulation preferences (buffer selection, carrier-free, glycerol-free), custom concentrations and aliquoting, low-endotoxin options for cell-based work, and application-focused QC/validation support (project dependent).
